It is game day, and we can't wait for tonight and the Dynamo's matchup against Toronto FC. Of course, it's Dwayne De Rosario's first game in Houston since being traded away December, so we expect a rousing reception - positive or negative - tonight at 7:30 p.m.
More importantly, the Dynamo are looking for three points in the standings as they ride a six-game unbeaten streak into Saturday night's game. We hope…

So you start the day by catching the FA Cup Final from Wembley between Chelsea and Everton at 9am on FSC and then it is on to Robertson Stadium for the live event when the Dynamo take on Toronto FC.
The Everton story is a great one and they clearly come in as underdogs to Chelsea but the involvement of an American player makes it even more interesting. Tim Howard will start in goal for the "Toffees" in a game that carries alot of history and tradition. Right after trying to deny the Chelsea powe…

As most of you know, we made a trade on Wednesday to acquire forward Dominic Oduro from the New York Red Bulls. I want to give you some insight into the trade and how it all went down.
Oduro has been on our radar for a long time. We are excited to finally add him to the team. Dominic Kinnear likes what Oduro brings to the table and thinks he will be a great complement to the squad and a nice fit into our system. His speed, as one of the fastest guys in MLS, is a great asset and addresses one of…

The Dynamo organization prides itself on supporting community initiatives; giving is intertwined into the culture of the Dynamo staff, players, and fans.
It starts with the players. The primary reason the team’s community outreach is so prevalent is because the players have taken the lead in supporting causes they care about that positively impact the Houston community.
A few months before the 2006 season, the players and coaches had to pick up and move from their homes in San Jose to t…

You may have heard of a soccer game going on this afternoon. Little thing called the UEFA Champions League Final between Manchester United and Barcelona. Pretty much the entire soccer-watching world will be following this one, so we quizzed Dynamo players about their expectations.

Happy Memorial Day!
First let's address this little thing called the Champions League.
Barcelona will meet Manchester United on Wednesday in Rome with history on the line.
The Red Devils are looking to be the first repeat winners since A.C. Milan did it in 1989-90 and manager Alex Ferguson would be only the tenth manager to pull it off. With a win he would be only the second manager to have won it three times. Bob Paisley of Liverpool won it three times .
Pep Guardiola of Barcelona would only be…

The Dynamo ran their unbeaten streak to six games (4-0-2) with a 3-1 win against the San Jose Earthquakes Saturday night at Robertson Stadium. We hope you enjoyed it as much as this young fan! The Dynamo are now alone in third place in the Western Conference with 15 points, trailing Chiv…

Fanaticos, Saturday night along with May 30th against Toronto FC might be the last time you see Brian Ching in a Dynamo uniform for awhile.
Ching is expected to be named to the U.S. national team roster for upcoming World Cup qualifiers on June 3rd at Costa Rica and June 6th in Chicago against Honduras. If you couple this with the Confederations Cup in South Africa that pits the U.S. against the last two World Cup winners Italy and Brazil to go along with Africa's Egypt, June could be a lean mon…

There are a million reasons to come out to Robertson Stadium to see the Dynamo take on the Earthquakes this weekend, so here are just a few:
This Saturday will mark the fifth home game of the regular season. That means we are already one-third of the way through the MLS home schedule.
We have battled back from a slow start and are in the thick of things in the Western Conference standings. Every point counts, and we must take advantage of our home-field advantage.
San Jose is one of our bigge…

So what are you thinking about soccer-wise?
The Dynamo result in New York? The fantastic goal pieced together by "off the bench" contributors Cory Ashe and Chris Wondoloski? The Dynamo in-ability to manage out the win in the "swamp"? Or maybe you are suffering as a fan of West Bromwhich Albion who will be relegated in the EPL? Not sure there are many WBA fans in Houston.
Ok, maybe you are celebrating the Manchester United title win with their draw against Arsenal?
Many might be looking forward t…

Frustrated by the late goal? Happy with a road tie? Let us know what you thought of tonight's game.
Disheartening for the Dynamo to allow a goal that late in the game for the tie, but they do get a road point after a terrific goal by Chris Wondolowski from Corey Ashe's cross.
Here are some notes and milestones from our postgame wrap:
The Houston Dynamo ran their unbeaten streak to five games (3-0-2) with a 1-1 tie against the New York Red Bulls Saturday night at Giants Stadium, the Dynamo's s…

Well, another game tomorrow, I sure am squeezing them in. I am behind in this blog and that makes me mad. Tomorrow will mark 3 games in a row for me. I am a busy guy though and am finishing up my Ph.D., so the blog has taken a bit of a back seat. I have also had several interviews recently and finally found a few minutes to recap the game 2 weeks ago after my most recent job interview. Here I am at Panera on my laptop editing pictures a few hours ago:

Ok I admit it is my home state and always a treat to come back East.
So I just don't believe the lineup changing coach of the New York Red Bulls Juan Carlos Osorio will stick with the same lineup as they produced in the 4-1 win over San Jose.
I just can't see how a midfield of Albert Celades, Seth Stammler , Jorge Rojas and Sinisa Ubiparipovic can deal with the Dynamo. All four are really interior type midfield players that will have to deal with Brian Mullan, Stuart Holden, Rico Clark and Brad…
